Rules regarding uploading video content

Over the past season the moderators of both this web site and the OSC social media pages have had to remove or delete supporters video content featuring games held both away and at the KCOM.

The reason is two fold:

  • We need to have the written consent of a parent of any child filmed or photographed at any venue. All football clubs and the Football League have this as a condition of entry to stadiums. The OSC as an organisation does not have the permissions required within the stadium and at OSC events we seek the consent of parents or guardians at the time.
  • Match action is closely licensed by the Football and Premier League and they are very protective of this. Whilst individuals who post on their own site for private use may not generally be subject to any action, the OSC may well be.

Rule 76.1 of the EFL states

No audio and/or visual footage from any match in any competition conducted by The League shall be televised or recorded or transmitted by internet, television, mobile networks, satellite or cable or any similar method except with the written consent of The League.

The OSC loves to hear from our members and we do want to receive content that we can use. Regretfully at this time this does not include video, photographic or audio content from games.

We do not want to spoil any ones fun, but at the same time we have to accept that the rules set by the EFL and PL.

If any member wishes to send us video content, can you please check with us first, by emailing Melvyn Utley branchliaison@hullcityosc.co.uk

We welcome help from members to video elements of our Pre-Match events at the Arena Bar as well as pre and post match opinions.
