First up of these games is a trip to Lancashire to take on a Preston North End side who were defeated at Deepdale by Derby County on Saturday and are in mixed form having won the previous two league games to the game against the Rams but before this going down at STōK Cae Ras to Wrexham.

City however are in rich form especially away from home and their only defeat since 5 December coming on new years day game against Stoke City at the MKM and head across to the red rose county on the back of the fantastic victory at Southampton.

Good news broke after the game at St Marys with a new addition arriving at the MKM in the shape of Yu Hirakawa. The Japanese international arrives from Bristol City on loan until the end of the campaign and further positive news arrived on Monday evening that Joe Gelhardt will be back in the squad to face the Lilywhites.

If City can claim another three points and for the first time in five years at Deepdale then it will affirm their place in the top six going into Saturdays home game with Swansea.
