We were delighted to be able to help “bring the community closer to the Club” last week in conjunction with KCOM, when Hull City fans in Bridlington had the chance to meet current player Jacob Greaves, and ex-Tigers Justin Whittle and John Hawley.
The event took place at The Town Bar, Bridlington Town Football Club and a Q&A session hosted by Brendon Smurthwaite covered a variety of topics from Jacob’s Dad’s (ex player Mark Greaves) reaction to his menu choice as well team spirit in the current squad, Justin’s reasons for joining Hull City despite their perilous league position at the time, and John playing against Pele.
Fans had the opportunity to have selfies and autographs with the players, and some even went home with prizes of shirts, a football and match tickets.
Chair of the Official Supporters Club, Kathryn Townsley, was delighted to be able to restart these events, and particularly pleased with the turnout despite the atrocious weather conditions on the night. “This is the first of a series of similar events we’re looking to organise with KCOM and Hull City, look out for news in early 2022 of our next one”.
The Town Bar proved an excellent venue. We thank Pete, Becky and the team there for their help in making the night a success.
