Two teams, unfancied at the start of the season and who have both proved the pundits wrong, do battle tomorrow.
Both teams have played good football and sit 4th and 5th. The victors of this contest would keep alive their hopes of an automatic promotion place.
Form guide
Millwall have won 7 of their last 10 games, scoring 20 goals in the process. Compared to The Tigers 6 wins from 10 and 16 goals scored.
The Tigers added Coyle and Amir to their injury list and Crooks has picked up a 2 game ban for his 10th booking of the season.
The Contest
We beat Millwall at the Den, thanks to two superb counterattacking goals from Kyle Joseph. McBurnie added a 3rd and we won 1v3. Femi Azeez the Millwall winger was sent off late on and responded by throwing a tantrum.
Millwall will fancy revenge after 4 wins from their last 5 and against a depleted Tigers side.
However we have seen how resilient and adaptable this Hull City side are under Sergej Jakirovic. Players come in and immediately step up, eg. Yu, McCarthy, Koumas et al.
Prediction
It should be a hard fought and entertaining game, as it always is against Millwall.
We have a chance to make up for the away defeat at Ipswich, whilst they will be desperate to keep up their bid for automatic promotion.
Let’s hope we can get a repeat of the Derby result a couple of weeks ago.
