Hull City have completed the signing of Hungarian international striker Norbert Balogh.
The 23-year-old has penned a one-year deal, with a further year’s option in the club’s favour, after impressing Head Coach Grant McCann during a successful trial period.
Standing at an imposing 6’6”, Balogh started his career with hometown club Hajdúböszörmény before joining Debrecen’s academy in 2006, turning professional in 2014.
He made 45 appearances for ‘Loki’ - scoring eight goals in all competitions - and enjoyed a loan spell at Letavertes prior to completing a €2.2m switch to Italian side Palermo in January 2016.
Capped twice by his country at senior level, Balogh spent last season on loan in Cyprus with APOEL Nicosia, netting four goals in ten games, as ‘Thrylos’ were crowned league champions.
