MALLIK WILKS
BORN: 15 DECEMBER 1998
COUNTRY: ENGLAND

Mallik is a Yorkshire lad, having been born in Leeds and it is no real surprise that as a youngster, he signed for Leeds United. Coming up through the years groups it was in 2015 after impressing in the U18 that Mallik signed his scholarship with Leeds. On 30 December 2016, days after his 18th birthday, Wilks signed his first professional contract at the club. He can operate out wide or as a striker and found himself out on loan, when he joined League Two side Accrington Stanley. This was then followed by a brief stint on the south bank with Grimsby Town.
It was however it was in 2017/18 that Mallick had a real breakthrough season, whilst playing under Grant McCann on loan at Doncaster Rovers.

Mallik manged to score on his debut and his tally of 16 goals and made 12 assists in 55 appearances, saw him named as Rovers’ Player of the Season. Doncaster reached the League One play-offs, where they lost on penalties to eventual winners Charlton Athletic, in the semi-final stage.

In July 2019, Mallik signed for Barnsley and then 6 months later travelled east to reignite his relationship with the Hull Manager. Grant McCann has described Wilks' style as flamboyant for his showboating skills.

He is with Hull City, on loan till the end of the season with the Club then having the option to make the deal permanent.
