Over £100 (the exact amount tbc) was raised at The Airco Arena before our match against QPR yesterday as we raffled the life-size tiger in aid of St Andrews Hospice, Grimsby and the new owner couldn't have been more pleased!
The tiger was certainly a talking point, and subject of many a photo, and whilst he did appeal to many, the practicality of housing him was a definite worry, so there were a few panicky faces as tickets were checked for the winning number.
Alison Lark, Charity Fundraising + Events Co-ordinator for "Andy's" couldn't have been more pleased with the support received, though felt her journey back across the river was going to be a lonely one as she left him behind with his new owner.
St Andrews Hospice have shops in Princes Quay, and Newland Avenue in Hull. You can find out more about them here http://www.standrewshospice.com/
