The international break is over and that means City are back this weekend as QPR travel to Hull. QPR sit in 9th, just three points off top spot in a close top half. City sit in 16th, six points behind the visitors.

The Tigers are without defensive stalwart Jordy de Wijs after he suffered an ankle injury in training this week. This opens the door for summer signings Ryan Tafazolli and Matthew Pennington to stake a claim for a spot in the defence.

Grant McCann all but closed the door on Markus Henriksen returning to the first team in the week. He said he is happy with his midfield which means it is looking more and more like we won’t see last year’s club captain play for City’s first team again.

McCann also spoke about new signing Norbert Balogh this week saying he is almost ready for first team action. He has so far been limited to a spot on the bench and appearance for the u23 side but with Tom Eaves and Josh Magennis still not firing up front, it seems only a matter of time until Balogh is given an opportunity up front.

QPR have no injury worries on their trip to the KCOM, although there will be some familiar faces in their side with Todd Kane and Marc Pugh both signing for the London side in the summer.
