Blackburn Rovers will arrive at the KCOM Stadium on Tuesday night coming off the back of a 1-0 win against Middlesborough, their first league win of the season. City meanwhile earned a respectable point away at Brentford and will want to get another win under their belt as head coach Grant McCann wants to make the KCOM a fortress with his playoff aspirations.
Captain Eric Lichaj was substituted against Brentford with an injury but Leonardo da Silva Lopes slotted in really well at right-back on his league debut. He could keep that spot should Lichaj remain out but Lichaj won’t be missed if Lopes performs as well as he did at Brentford.
The rest of the team could remain the same after a good performance at the weekend, but McCann may be tempted to rotate his side and introduce some of City’s new signings into the team including Matthew Pennington and Callum Elder.
Ex-Tigers Corry Evans and Danny Graham will return to the KCOM with a Blackburn Rovers side currently sat in 18th position after one win and two losses in the league this season. Rovers have made some good additions to their squad including Stewart Downing, Bradley Johnson and Tosin Adarabioyo who will want to help Blackburn improve on their 15th place finish from last season.
