We have news about what the Stroke Unit would like funds for

With just a few tickets left, we have heard from the Stroke Unit to let us know where our fundraising will be put to use.

It was fantastic to speak with you the other day and we are really delighted the Official Hull City Supporters Club have organised a fundraiser in memory of Peter Skipper to support the Stoke Unit at Hull Royal Infirmary.
Lisa Whitton, WISHH Charity Manager (Working Independently to Support Hull Hospitals) told us:
"I have spoken with the Ward Sister, Becky Evans to help identify what they could use the funds raised from your event towards. It would be amazing if could help them reach their fundraising target of £1,200 to buy a Hoist and Track for stroke patients in the Hyper Acute Stroke Unit. This will enable nursing staff to comfortably move stoke patients from their bed to chairs. The ward doesn’t have this facility at the moment and a large hoist and frame is brought into the rooms where there is little space and manoeuvrability for patients and nursing staff, making the process challenging and not as comfortable as it should be.

To help us fundraise toward providing a hoist and track system, will provide greater comfort for the patients we care for."

Tickets for this event can still be bought either on Saturday 28 September at the Pre Match event held in the Tigers Trust Arena Bar from 1:30pm or by applying via our email: events@hullcityosc.co.uk. Tickets cost £25 per person.
