City Stars on Form at Meet The Players Night

Good night again, nice to hear from players in a friendly, more informal setting. Thanks!

ON LOAN TRIO ENTERTAIN FANS

On-loan Chelsea trio Michael Hector, Ola Aina and Fikayo Tomori were the special guests as OSC members and the paying public got the opportunity to pose questions to them at near touching distance.

Fans young and ...well, not quite so young, fired off a range of questions covering their experiences so far in a City shirt, their time with parent club Chelsea and who the biggest influences have been on their careers to date. Michael Hector brought his dad along for the show and he turned out to be a real stats man - expertly confirming his son's appearance records and so on.

KCFM's Darren Lethem was an informed and entertaining host

Ola and Fikayo couldn't agree on who is faster, we'll just have to let them try and prove it on the pitch! Host for the evening Darren Lethem from KCFM coped superbly with the many probing and often humorous questions from the supporters. The youngest of which could teach Darren a thing or two about fearless journalism, with questions ranging from "Can any of you lot moon walk?" to "where will we finish this season?" and "who is your favourite ex-coach or manager?".

The players themselves had the occasional question for the supporters.

It turns out that none of the three City stars can do a Michael Jackson style moon walk so they asked for a demonstration from Alex - the young fan who posed the question. Where else would you see a young kid take to the same stage as his heroes and perform a dance move for the whole room? He left the stage to a big round of applause with all three players clapping his performance. Usually it's the other way around for all concerned.

Lincoln University provided a fantastic team to film and record the event with at least three cameras, a production team and all overseen by City fan Bryan Rudd - Principal Lecturer in Media Production at Lincoln University.

There were plenty of selfie opportunities at the end of the question and answer session, lots of people walked away with prizes from the raffle too and our Twitter and Facebook competition winners the Wozniczka family and the Bartle family all enjoyed free entry and front row seats.

We'd like to thank the Hull City, Luke Cash, and all in attendance, for making Michael, Ola and Fikayo feel so welcome and we look forward to the next 'Meet The Players' event which will be advertised shortly - it's sure to be another big night!

Notes: anyone with a completed membership form to hand in can do so at the next home game by popping into The Airco Arena Bar or by post to our main address. Alternatively you can register online here. We have at least another two Meet The Player events scheduled - dates are being firmed up at the moment, so your membership will pay for itself within a couple of months.

We hope to see you all at the next Meet The Players Night!
