As we reach the mid-point of 2018

As you may be aware, we write and host two monthly pub quizzes, one is the first Monday of the month at the Green Dragon in Welton, and the other, the second Monday of the month at the Constable Arms in Sproatley.

Our chosen charities to receive the proceeds from those events are Headway, the brain injury association (Welton) and The Daniel Wilkinson Foundation (Sproatley), each chosen because of the links they have to Hull City, with the Headway being a great support to Ryan Mason, and the Foundation in memory of former Academy player, and Hedon lad, Daniel which looks to raise money to provide CPR training, Defibrilators and training, and heart screenings for sports associations / clubs at all levels.

We're delighted to say that so far this year we've raised almost £500 for Headway, and just under £600 for The Daniel Wilkinson Foundation through our popular quizzes.

In addition, through our bus-stops in the Airco Arena pre match, we've also presented one of our disabled members Kalem with £200 for his decking project, and a similar amount for the World Wildlife Fund.

That's on top of the £261 recently presented to the Electric Eels, the Hull and East Riding Powerchair Football Club to help their quest to buy new wheelchairs so more can participate in their sport, and over £130 to St Andrews Hospice in Grimsby.

We are extremely appreciative of the support we get on this score, and thank you very much indeed.

Keep an eye out on our events page, our weekly newsletter and our Facebook and Twitter posts which let you know when our next events are.
